Forsythia Counseling accepts self-pay clients  (those without insurance).

Forsythia Counseling employs evidence-based approaches to address health promotion, relationship distress & trauma-related conditions, such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), connecting body and mind in the healing process, 

Kathryn is trained in multiple evidence-based approaches for healing, such as:

Bereavement, Grief & Loss

(informed by the Grief Recovery Method, Compassionate Bereavement Care, and other modalities)

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) 

Collaborative Assessment & Management of Suicide (CAMS-care; trained by Dr. Dave Jobes)

Compassion Fatigue

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)

Meaning-centered Psychotherapy (specialized bereavement training for cancer patients)

Motivational Interviewing

Solution-focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

Suicide Bereavement (trained by Dr. Jack Jordan)

Trauma-informed therapies (i.e., Seeking Safety, somatic strategies, etc.)
